ZINKWAZI BEACH: We are the experts in... Self-catering holiday accommodation and Property sales.

We offer a variety of properties and vacant land from large to small, basic to upmarket, with views or without, on the beach or some distance away: www.driftwoodestates.co.za

Only 85km North of Durban, 50 km from Ballito, only 5 - 6 hours from Gauteng and 60 km from King Shaka International Airport, lies Zinkwazi lagoon and beach conservancy.

Zinkwazi beach: the last undiscovered jewel of the North coast of KZN with a subtropical lagoon and beach paradise of the fish eagle. Zinkwazi is one of the rare, beautiful, un-spoilt, idyllic, beaches left in Southern Africa. Close to Zululand's wealth of splendid Game Reserves. A 7km lagoon situated among the lush palms of the Zinkwazi conservancy, 180 species of bird life and endless beaches. For those who love golf, there are several excellent golf courses in easy driving distance e.g. Darnall country club and Princes Grant. A place to rest in peace with fishing, nature walks and a safe protected main beach. The beach is wide and one can walk for miles on end. The lagoon which runs on to the beach breaks its banks after heavy rains and joins the ocean.

The village itself consist of around 500 properties, mostly holiday accommodation.

The village sports a very active Ski-boat club with bar on the beach, a Fishing charter operation, a well-stocked Convenience store, Hair dresser and Proud's pizza.

DIRECTIONS

When coming from Gauteng:
From the N3 take a scenic shortcut from Colenso or MooiRiver or Pietermaritzburg through Greytown and Stanger to meet the N2 and head north on the N2.
OR
You could travel a very scenic route via Vryheid, Melmoth, Eshowe. Meet the N2 at Gingindlovu and head south.
OR
Alternatively follow the N2 south from Pongola and Jozini.
OR
If you're only interested in the fastest way to get here FROM Gauteng, keep going through Pietermaritzburg on the N3 and when you are presented with the options of North, South or City Centre, before entering Durban, take the N2 north.

The N2 dual lane highway (between Durban and Mtunzini) enables easy access to Zinkwazi.

From the South on N2:
Once on the N2 coming from the south,(DBN) pass Stanger and Zinkwazi is the next turn off.

From the North on N2:
Cross the Tugela river and the next off-ramp is the ZINKWAZI exit.

This is the 245 Crossing. Take the glide off, and follow the boards to Zinkwazi. After +/- 4km you will arrive in Zinkwazi village. You will enter the village on Nkwazi drive.

My office is located at no 1 Glen drive:
Enter the village on Nkwazi drive.
Turn right at the traffic circle (2nd right) into Glen drive.
Turn into the first building on your right, The Junction, as you enter the car park, directly  in front of you,  find DRIFTWOOD ESTATES in big red letters.
