DESCRIPTION:
This is how we love and enjoy our secret piece of paradise which is Zinkwazi beach. Long wide beaches with rock pools for the kids or sunrise on the beach. Take your “board” out to sea, or marvel at the shells which wash up on the beach. There is a beach access directly across the road from this cottage. Your toes and sea sand will meet in a matter of minutes after your arrival. The Main beach, Ski boat club and bar, and Pizzeria are an easy walk from the cottage. +/- 100m from beach and +/- 400m from main beach.
PELICANS is well located, well equipped and ideal for a large or extended family. The house is a traditional Zululand beach cottage. Built on a large property you will find the 5-bedroom house and 1-bedroom flatlet located separately from each other. There is a very slight sea view from the flatlet. The pool has a safety cover. There is a charcoal braai, with large dining tables for indoor or out door meals. DSTV (streaming only) & uncapped Wi-Fi with support UPS is provided. All linen, towels and beach towels are provided. The property has a resident caretaker . It offers one lock-up garage, a covered carport for 2 cars, and open parking within the property for more cars. The house is well secured, fully walled and gated, burglar guarded and with beams and armed response. Pets by prior arrangement only.
In the house you will find a spacious open plan living area consisting of lounge, dining room and kitchen. Kitchen: microwave, gas hob & electric oven, dishwasher, Ice machine, Air-fryer, 2x fridge/freezer combinations and all cutlery and crockery. Laundry: washing machine and tumble dryer. All bedrooms have ceiling fans, cupboards and hangers. 2 bedrooms have pay-as-u-go AC for guest account.
The property sleeps 12 in the following configuration: The house: There are 2 bedrooms with Queen beds,1 with a Double, and 2 bedrooms with 2 singles each. The house has 5 bedrooms supported by 2 bathrooms one with shower and basin, and one with bath, shower, basin and toilet. Second separate toilet.
The flat has a large veranda, an open plan living area, little kitchenette, 1 bedroom with 1 double bed and 1 bathroom with toilet, basin and shower.
REGRET: NO groups of adults, we cater for “nucleus” family holidays only. NO functions of any kind.
ADDITIONAL CHARGES: Admin fee once off: R400. Daily staff Levy: R300. Breakage deposit of 10% of the value of the accommodation charge, with a minimum of R2500, refundable if there are no breakages.

Out of season: R1600 for 4; There after R400 for every additional person per night, Max 12; Min 2 nights. (Dates not listed as Mid/In/Peak season)
Mid-season: R1800 for 4; There after R450 for every additional person per night, Max 12; Min 2 to 5 nights:
Below are the Mid-season dates: 20 – 25 Feb 25; 22 April to 4 May 25; 22 – 26 May 25; 13 – 16 June 25; 27 June to 21 July 25; 8 Aug to 2 Sept 25; 24 Sept to 13 Oct 25; 16 – 21 Oct 25; 30 Oct to 3 Nov 25.
In Season: R2000 for 4; There after R500 for every additional person per night, Max 12; Min 4 – 7 Nights: 20 Mar to 21 April 25.
Peak Season:
1 to 11 Dec – R6500 per night, min 5 nights,
12 Dec to 12 Jan – R8000 per night, season’s rules apply,
13 to 31 Jan – R1600 for 4; There after R400 for every additional person per night, Max 12; Min 2 nights.
PEAK SEASON: Minimum stay requirement below: Dec & Jan – kindly enquire for shorter stays.
- Should you wish to include Christmas and New Year in your booking, the minimum stay requirement are 10 – 14 nights.
- Should you wish to ONLY include Christmas in your booking, the minimum stay requirements are 7 – 10 nights, these 7 – 10 nights may not end later that the 27th or 28th of Dec.
- Should you wish to ONLY include New Year in your booking, the minimum stay requirements are 7 – 10 nights and may not start earlier than the 27th or 28th of Dec.
- Lesser stays before and after this period (a minimum of 5 nights) may be considered once the owner has their primary booking in place and secured.
PLEASE NOTE: Things to do noted under amenities does not refer to ON-SITE activities, but rather activities in Zinkwazi and/or the area. You do need your own transport and gear for all of those mentioned
