This is how we experience and cherish our hidden gem in Zinkwazi Beach.
Picture long, wide stretches of sand, rock pools for the kids to explore, and breathtaking sunrises over the ocean.
Whether you’re heading out to sea with your board or collecting beautiful shells along the shore, this is coastal living at its best.
With direct beach access just across the road, you’ll have your toes in the sand within minutes of arrival.
The main beach, ski boat club and bar, and local pizzeria are all within easy walking distance, approximately 100m to the beach and 400m to the main beach area.
Pelicans is ideally positioned and well-equipped, making it perfect for large or extended families. This traditional Zululand beach cottage sits on a spacious property and includes a five-bedroom main house along with a separate one-bedroom flatlet. The flatlet offers a slight sea view, adding to its charm.
The swimming pool is fitted with a safety cover, and a charcoal braai area with large dining tables allows for relaxed indoor or outdoor meals.
Guests can enjoy DSTV streaming from own account and uncapped Wi-Fi supported by a UPS. All linen, bath towels, and beach towels are provided. A resident caretaker is on-site for added convenience.
The property offers one lock-up garage, a covered carport for two vehicles, and additional open parking within the grounds.
Security features include full perimeter walls, a gated entrance, burglar guards, outdoor beams, and armed response.
Pets are welcome by prior arrangement only.
Inside the main house, you’ll find a spacious open-plan living area combining the lounge, dining room, and kitchen.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a microwave, gas hob and electric oven, dishwasher, ice machine, air fryer, two fridge/freezer combinations, and all necessary crockery and cutlery.
Laundry facilities include a washing machine and tumble dryer.
All bedrooms are fitted with ceiling fans, built-in cupboards, and hangers, while two rooms offer pay-as-you-go air conditioning for guest use.

REGRET: NO groups of adults, we cater for “nucleus” family holidays only. NO functions of any kind. Pets allowed. All bookings subject to owners’ approval.
PLEASE NOTE: Things to do noted under amenities does not refer to ON-SITE activities, but rather activities in Zinkwazi and/or the area. You do need your own transport and gear for all of those mentioned.
ADDITIONAL CHARGES: Admin fee once off: R400. Daily staff Levy: R300. Breakage deposit of 10% of the value of the accommodation charge, with a minimum of R2500, refundable if there are no breakages.

Mid-season: R1800 for 4; There after R450 for every additional person per night, Max 12; Min 2 to 5 nights: Mid-season dates: 19 to 23 Feb 26; 20 to 22 Mar 26; 21 April to 3 May 26; 21 to 25 May 26; 12 to 16 June 26; 26 June to 21 July 26; 7 Aug to 9 Sept 26; 18 Sept to 13 Oct 26; 22 Oct to 2 Nov 26.
In Season: R2200 for 4; There after R550 for every additional person per night, Max 12; Min 3 – 7 Nights: 27 Mar to 20 April 26.
Peak Season:
1 to 11 Dec – R6600 per night, min 5 nights,
12 Dec to 12 Jan – R8500 per night, season’s rules apply,
13 to 31 Jan – R1400 for 4; There after R350 for every additional person per night, Max 12; Min 2 nights.
PEAK SEASON: Minimum stay requirement below: Dec & Jan, All bookings subject to owners’ approval.
1.Should you wish to include Christmas and New Year in your booking, the minimum stay requirement is 10 – 14 nights.
2. Should you wish to ONLY include Christmas in your booking, the minimum stay requirements are 7 – 10 nights, these 7 – 10 nights may not end later that the 27th or 28th of Dec.
3. Should you wish to ONLY include New Year in your booking, the minimum stay requirements are 7 – 10 nights and may not start earlier than the 27th or 28th of Dec.
4. Lesser stays before and after this period (a minimum of 5 nights) may be considered once the owner has their primary booking in place and secured.
